Kim is the best hairstylist I’ve ever been to hands down. I am super picky about my cut as well as my color and she nailed it from day one. It took me years to find someone who knows how to cut and color my hair. I can honestly say she is the first hairstylist I have been to that I can sit back and relax whie she is doing my hair bc I don’t have to worry about what it will look like when she is done. I always walk out loving my hair. I’ve been a client of hers for nearly two years and she consistently delivers at each visit. I will be a client for life! Thank you Kim!

After having 2 hair appointments canceled by a supposedly elite shop in Crabtree, I Googled *Award winning hair stylist* and Kim's salon came up. From the beginning, she understood what I wanted to do with my hair which is not always what happens. Kim provided low lights and highlights which were extremely natural looking. She has also helped me grow out a short cut when I wanted to go to a little longer style and my hair looked great through the change. I recently went to a wedding in the northeast and had many compliments on my color and cut. Kim is the best stylist and has a great personality! So glad I found her!!

Kim is a master magician. I came in to her with dark color that I had been doing myself out of a box. I had been at this for 2 years. It kept getting darker and darker. And I was going gray so it was just plain awful. Within one sitting she transformed me into a beautiful lady.

Fairly recent transplant to the Raleigh area. I had 2 bad hair experiences in a row looking for a new stylist in the area. Today I came to Kim’s salon and got one of my very best cuts and beautiful, natural-looking balayage. I can’t be more pleased.

Kim cares deeply about everything she does and I felt that in how she interacted with me in the whole process. She is very professional (easy appointment process and very responsive), and she listens to what I’d imagine to begin with. She works every detail beautifully on my hair (including advising me how to care for color-treated hair, what to do in future months, etc.).

She did so much more than what I expected when I walked into her hair studio, and really appreciate seeing her taking such great care of her customer and bringing the best out of my request 💝. Look forward to come again.

I have very dark and wiry Asian hair and am very wary about getting my hair professionally colored. I spent a long time searching for a hair stylist who I could trust to color/bleach my hair. I found Kim and read many great reviews about how talented she is. I put my trust in her and she did not disappoint. I got a trim and a balayage. It was absolutely what I wanted. She did amazing. After a long and exhaustive online research of hair stylist bios and visiting salons to observe stylists, I selected Kim for a client consultation. Let me emphasize that everything on her website and in her personal bio is authentic; she is an extremely skilled and talented hair artist.

I moved to Raleigh in 1974, and have experienced the services of many the styling salons in the Raleigh-Durham area. I have finally found someone to assess the challenges of a 71 yo with hair texture, pattern, growth, and asymmetrical hairline issues and limitations due to radiation treatment, and was able to execute a cut and style that satisfied all my wishes.

There isn't an adequate superlative that does service to Kim's talent and ability. I can't remember ever walking out of a salon perfectly happy and not having to wait weeks for a cut to grow out to be satisfied! Kim is a premier hair artist 2nd to none!

Today was my first (of many) visits to Kim's salon. I was so impressed with her engaging personality and her skillset as a designer. She was very detailed when working with my hair and took the time to actually give me a cut that works well with my (sometimes) unruly hair. Even though this was my first time visiting her salon, I felt like I've known her for many years; a testament to her beautiful spirit and wonderful interactions with her clients. She made me laugh more than I have in months and with this COVID scenario around us that is no small feat. As soon as I returned to work, several colleagues commented on how nice my hair looked. I decided to visit Kim on a recommendation from a friend. The first appointment was a welcome surprise. We talked about the cut and style and by the time I left it was better than I imagined. She truly is an artist with a gifted eye for seeing which style looks good on the individual. When I got back to my office everyone noticed something was different and loved my new look. I felt like a model. The service is absolutely top notch. Her attention to detail and professionalism make it easy to recommend her to my friends. Kim's great! When I moved to Raleigh earlier this year, I was looking for a stylist who offered organic hair color. I had grown increasingly sensitive to the dyes and other scary ingredients found in regular hair products. I was also hoping for someone who could blow dry/flat iron my (very) curly hair. Kim does an awesome job; she's fast, a perfectionist, and very funny. I'm so glad I found her. 8)

Kim is a true professional in her industry and knows hair. On my first visit, she took time to really talk to me and check out my hair, which is a mix of textures as it is turning gray/silver. Then she cut, colored & highlighted and styled my hair perfectly. I decided to stop coloring and grow out my hair to see what my natural color is. Kim recently helped me in this transition as she cut and styled my hair so that the natural silvery grey blends well with the little bit of color that still needs to grow out.
